Ok, i have now installed some drivers i think.
However i am still not getting stable fps. I am getting 100 fps when i look down at the ground, but when i look up i get 20 fps. Does anyone know why?
Also does anyone have a guess at how many fps i should be getting with these specs?

Considering you have an ASUS, you're lucky to get that. Create a file name lowgfx.cfg and put this in it:
Then download this - http://www.urbanterr...of-ioq3-engine/ and follow the instructions.
That should help, probably quadruple your fps. When I tried it, I started getting about 6 times my old fps (bringing me to 120fps constant).

Thank you very much, i will try that later when i get home.
However i would love to get help with the drivers. I am fairly sure its not normal to drop from 100 steady fps to 20. Also i noticed in my netgraf that when i look away from the ground i get alot of black spikes, which i do not when i'm looking down at the ground.

He forgot to mention that his laptop/netbook has a dual graphics solution: Intel HD graphics and a dedicated NVIDIA graphics. He was running all this time on the Intel HD graphics hence the low FPS.

please do not resurrect threads that have been solved, as clearly announced above the original poster noticed they where using the wrong graphics solution.
