On 4.1(.1) servers, when someone try to rename with a player name currently connected to the server, the server adds an underscore and the slot at the end of the name. That helps admins/players to make the difference between these two players.
But 4.2 doesn't have this behaviour, so that's a bit tricky when you got two players with the same name :/

Admins can do the /playerlist command and it tells the slot number for each player in server. (Non-admins can do this command too). Also Admins can do the /rcon status command showing the player slot, ip, rate, and port.
