So I've had 4.2 since the original release, and have yet to be able to auth.
I can either connect to the server, and have it say no account
The key file "authkey" doesn't exist.
Your auth key is not valid.
You can edit it using the command /auth-set
You can delete it using the command /auth-set 0
You can find also help on the website:
or I can't connect and get an error
http://tinypic.com/r/2luxh11/5
Check also that nobody else what??????
I disabled the firewall on my computer and router. No go.
I tried editing the authkey file from 0 to my authkey. No go.
I tried setting via /auth-set AUTHKEY with no space at the end. No go.
I'm using cable internet and the authserver won't respond. What gives?

Hi few and nikki, I am going to look into this for you, will try and get a nice simple method of resolving this for you.
Can you help me with answering a few questions.
1) What operating system is being used?
2) Where are the game files located with in the operating system (i.e. C://program files/urban terror/)
3) Does the user account on the OS have admin privileges?
4) What do you mean by the Auth Server will not respond?

I have not seen even a fail challenge request for your account. Make sure you can resolve authserver.urbanterror.info and if you have a firewall which blocks "outbound" data, you need to urbanterror to coms with authserver.urbanterror.info with UDP on ports between 27950 and 27960 (best to add a rage and address rule).
Since i can't see any evidence of a "request", thats the most likely cause.
I don't have any connection logs for you, so your not acutally talking to the authserver at all.
Thanks
R

I am using Windows 7.

Yes, only user account on computer as well.
It tries three times and gives up.
With what R4ider said about the firewall, that's all good and dandy, but I completely disabled the firewall on the computer, reinstalled the game, and ran it as administrator and still can't get through.
I'm pretty convinced it's my computer, it just boggles my mind what could be doing it.
