1) wrong section
2) a little bit more detailed description of your error would be nice.

but implying that you set the resulution too high for your display:

Open the q3config (/q3ut4/q3config)
on windows its inside your UrT instalation
on linux its in your homepath (./q3a/q3ut4)

Then search for the line r_mode to "4"

this will change your res to 600x480. you then can launch the game and set the correct resolution again.


If that was NOT your problem, ask again :)
