Configurable jump skin colors

Currently, jump mode requires all players to wear a purple skin. I don't have anything against the color purple (except that it looks terrible). I think the ability to choose any skin color on an individual basis would be great. I think most people might opt for a color other than purple as well, if they had a choice.

If I remember correctly the UI for jump mode skin selection (and ffa/lms) are gone? The cvars do exist though and are still working.
Anyway, I think he wants every player to be able to select his skin individually, like one player plays in red and one in white.
But thats highly unlikely to come, since skin selection is fully clientside. it sure would be possible (raceselection works too), but I doubt that such a thing will be added in 4.2.
I like the idea though. At least for jumpmode. Not sure about ffa/lms.

If I recall correctly, there was a jump mode skin option, but it was removed in favor of using the "enemy" skin whenever you play a mode where there are no teams. …something like that.
I would also like a jump-mode skin. I like to give the enemies an ugly skin, but then I go jumping and my friends have the ugly skin 😆

Indeed, to select the skins in jump mode (and any other individual modes), you define the enemy one (cg_skinEnemy).
You can find all those informations in game if you click on the "Read me" in the skin selection menu.
Concerning the possibility of having individual skins, I really doubt any coder would have the will to complexify the skin selection to be able to work that way.
Regarding a new special jump skin, you'll just need to convince one of our artists to work again on 4.2

Quick workaround, I haven't tested it but you get the idea
bind X "vstr skin"
set skin "vstr skin_jump"
set skin_jump "set skin vstr skin_frag; cg_skinEnemy Y"
set skin_frag "set skin vstr skin_jump; cg_skinEnemy Z"
bind X "vstr skin"
set skin "vstr skin_jump"
