Hi, CrazyRich here asking for help.

I would like very detailed instructions on how to properly set-up an Urban Terror port on an Android device. I have tried three times without any success. Can someone PLEASE show me and others like me in a "step by step fashion" in how to do this?

I love the game so much, I just want to take it with me and play it whenever I have free time. So frustrating to have the parts and not know how to put them together right!

Well. luckily for you i spent some time on that topic, trying out the different available q3a ports and stuff.
i got it working for 4.1, but 4.2 gives me an error (something related to memory access, don't remember exactly)
Anyway. i also did a guide for 4.1 (it still says 4.2 should work, since it did in the beginning.

Link to the guide with reviews of the ports available at that time: click me
Quick guide for the most simple working setup i found:click me
i recommend the first one, since it has more detail.

Just for my curiosity, why would you want to port a game based on mouse and keyboard, on a smartphone ?
Is it just for the challenge of porting it to another OS ?

i dunno....
it was like, hey that tablet should work out for UrTs specs.
so i tried. and it worked. needed some tweaks to the config, but it ran at 60 fps. on eagle.
and my tablet actually has a keyboard (wireless). so its not that bad.

and actually sometimes (not for UrT though) games made for mouse are way easier with a touchscreen. like you point at your target and you shoot it. (as i said, not with those q3a ports)

So all in all i guess it was both. the "challenge" of making it run UrT (fluently) and the love for UrT.

I mean you can spec a player from a mobile device. that's quite epic. though more or less useless......

Tablet, not smartphone. With a keyboard and bluetooth mouse.

Simple. I don't always have the time to sit in front of my machine at home to play this great game. Yet I do have moments (such as standing in long lines) where I would rather play "Urban Terror" instead of some other game such as "Candy Crush".

I just love this game. Its not for the challenge of porting to another OS as other people have already met and beat that challenge. I just want to play the game wherever I want using my android device as they do. That's why I asked how to do it.

I've seen instances in the past where the onscreen controls work on my Android Device very well (PS1 emulator for one).

I'm not carrying a keyboard and mouse with me everywhere I go. But I will take my smartphone, which is really not a phone anymore, but a small touchscreen computer that we can make phone calls with.
