Hi all .. i'm on OSX 10,6,8 and i cant ever use the update thing. I must downlodd the full app and reset everything.. any help ?? ..

So i download the full version of urban terror and replace the app with that one ? i mean the buid link you gave ?
am i clear ??
Do i need the others links you gave with the full game download ( 1,8go ) ?

This sounds like a different issue. If you had the issue fixed here, you would not see a black screen (or anything at all).

You only have a qkey file in library/application support/quake3? I think the easiest remedy would be to delete library/application support/quake3 (the whole quake3 folder, including the qkey file), and just let it rebuild on the next launch. That folder contains… well, the whole game basically. If there's nothing in it at all, then your game isn't going to work right.

You can do a manual update with the update zip, but that's slightly complicated. Since I always use the update zips, I'm not 100% sure I know what I'm talking about as far as using the updater, but…

Apparently, you can't have Urban Terror installed in /Applications/ where you would normally put apps on OS X. It's supposed to be somewhere in your user directory, so /Users/<yourname>/Applications/ should work with the updater. Move UrT there instead and then try the updater.

If you have already updated to 4.2.020, then yes, all you need is the download for the fixed .app file (this first link in Barbatos' post: http://up.barbatos.f...ke3-UrT.app.zip ). Replace the old Quake3-UrT.app you were using with the new one from this download. Once that file is replaced/updated, the game should be good to go.

If you are not already on 4.2.020, then you'll need the update zip or the full game download.

got it working for some days, but today an error occured:


R_loadMD3: models/weapons2/g36/g36_hold.md3 has more than 1000 verts on a surface (3866867)

anybody has a clue of what is this??

Hm. i remember that error (with other models) appearing randomly in 4.1.
check the md5 of your zUrT42_0006.pk3, if the error is persists.

models/weapons2/g36/g36_hold.md3 is the 1st person primary model as part of a set of three and is a persistent error that if it does occur will continue to prevent the game from loading until it is corrected.

There is no other fix period as it's a hardwired limitation built into the md3 format and if it was a common bug then everyone would be having the same problem.

The most common reason for the error is either the PK3 file became corrupted for some reason or someone tried to do a weapon or md3 replacement with out knowing the hardwired limitations.

If I want to say thanks while covering, it freezes while I have the radio menu open. I understand that I may be weird by having the radio commands in the fingers, and do U-9-9 for example, instead of using a shortcut key. I have just always done it like that.

I have this same thing.. I have to esc out or do a radio command to be able to use the mouse again.. hoping this is fixed

So, I'm all installed and working on Mac, 10.9.5

BUT, I'm having a strange issue. I bound my crouch key to left 'ALT', which is standard for my setup.

Now when I crouch, my weapons won't fire. As soon as I stand up, the start firing.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm a little lost on this one.
