A sure thing FS should do is sell skins just like Counter Strike Global Offensive or League of Legends do. It's a fine an easy way to finance the developments and I'm pretty sure many UrT fans would buy skins. I'd suggest to "copy" LoL's model rather than CS:GO's. I personally think the case opening model isn't very ethical...

Personally I think the Urban Terror community is long past the need for FS to give them stuff, although a nice hat would be nice :D, and instead get back into clan involvement the way it should be. A good start to consider is allowing clans to add their own CTF flags. Make it personal.

I don't really understand what you mean by being long past the need of receiving stuff from FS. As in you don't deliver that often? Anyway, being in marketing I can tell you most needs are created and it's never too late to start. Take UrT itself for instance, created and addictive need!

Yeah why not, and make them pay? Also, I don't see why you can't do both? Surely you have enough resources to create skins and keep on developing the game no? Especially if you earn money in the process.

Personally I'm against skins that are worth money like in CS:GO. Skins for guns should show excellency with that weapon, like golden guns from CoD

You can always show excellency with title rewards and so on. You also need to see the developing team's perspective: they are doing it for free, giving it for free. It's really not much to integrate a skin store and doesn't deteriorate the game's "brand" in my opinion (for those who know the game they'd be happy to contribute for a skin - and the others, well they will love the game and won't know how it used to be before!).
