Hi!
2 days ago i updated to 10.10.3.
Since this update i can not start the game.
I tried all the usual methods ( terminal, new installation, restarts etc. ) but nothing happens.
The symbol is bouncing some seconds and thats all.
The same happened after 10.10.2 update but was easy to fix.
Will this crap always happen when i update my OS?
Whats the difference between UrT and other games like RE ? My RE- edition is 2 years old and always starting after every update! Even the since years abandoned game "Blood Frontier" is working without a problem.

Try launching UrT executable from the terminal and write here the errors (if any), that could be useful for debugging.
I had some headaches trying to make UrT working on my daughter's Mac... and finally, after lots of rants, I succeded but came to a very simple conclusion: never use Apple's iCraps to play games!

Lol, meanwhile i found a (for me ) working solution.
I removed the "old" Quake3 folder in "application support" and started the game.....it worked in the same second!
Than i threw back piece for piece : qkey , authkey , screenshots,q3config and demos.
It was still working!
After this i tried a cross-check and changed "old" and "new" Quake3 folder.
Again the game was not able to start. In the old folder were only all my downloaded maps!
Sounds crazy , but it is like i told you.
There seems to be a problem with (maybe ) the amount of maps or maybe the content of some/one map.
Crazy because i doesnt had a problem with the amount of maps before the update to 10.10.3 !!!
I wish you all a good luck with it and hope my solution will help you too!
PS: @ azmo: I guess that you are not a macuser? The installation of UrT on a Mac is as simple as on other OS.
This is my first real problem in 11 years of playing UrT...
