I've been working for around a week to replace the player sounds (gunshots, reloading, footsteps, etc.) with more realistic ones. The mod is still WiP and I need to do the SR-8 reloading sounds, finish the Negev reload, and fix the syncing issues on the G36. Will have a download link for the modded PK3s soon.
Please tell me what you think and any suggestions/criticism.

Big question,

Where did you find the sources for your sounds?

Are they public domain sounds? If not, do you have a licence to use them commercially?

If they are in public domain or free to use, be sure to add all the attribution requirements in your pk3!

Otherwise this looks great!

Alas, this was simply an experiment in sound design and how well it would work in an obsolete engine like ioquake3. The sounds were taken from Insurgency.

I am aware a license is required for commercial use. And replacement mods? This mod will not work online, all sounds and files that do not match the server will not be allowed (in this case gunshots and footsteps will be silent.)

I feel like allowing players to mod footstep sounds would be an unfair advantage. Whats to stop me from changing footstep sounds to explosions so I could always hear you coming?

Any PK3 files that do not match the servers will not be allowed to load, meaning modified textures and sounds wont work.

I'm not talking about right now, I'm talking about in the future when people ask for mods in HD.
