Well, if you take your knife anywayz, you can also just knife 'em? So what will the point of the boot still be??

exactly. why the hell would i take out my knife just to boot someone, especially now that i have to be aiming at the person to boot them. the purpose of the boot was to be able to hit someone really close while you have a gun out (reloading, or otherwise). it was a great part of this game and made for many entertaining moments. the boot doesnt serve any purpose now.
this is the same as removing boots all together.

booting and knifing simultaneously results in a faster kill than booting or knifing separately.

Someone always has to whine about something. Now the boots are screwed over. If the boots scare you so bad, don't get so close to your opponents. lol
I'm sure the game as a whole will still be fun.

What you talking about, you slash the opponent, and then boot him away before he can slice you. Then repeat. It all in how you use them.

If you really, truly want to boot someone then you still can.....just switch to the knife. Its one little button press and you have the glorious boot!!
Dont knock it till you try it with the knife....cause its deadly.
