SPAS - Insane knockback?

In simple Words :

The Problem whith the SPAS is that if it hits u whith only a few damage points, it still shakes u like hell.
The Damage itself seems to be ok?

So why not make the knockback function damage dependent .
If you are hit whith 80% damage you get a hell of a  knockback, if it hits u whith 5% you get nothing.

I think it would be a good idea in general, not only for the SPAS.

I really dont know much about the q3 engine , but it should be as simple s adding another variable to a single function.

OMG maybe next we will hear some guy saying there should be aiming penalty when moving and having full equipment..

I'm confused now. I could have sworn that your problem with SPAS was the knockback being rediculous. Like you said, there is no knockback difference when comparing being hit from 5m to 20m. (I overlooked that, too, and that like you have said is the problem and I now recognize it.) Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Sgt. Nops in a way agreeing with you, and then adding onto the idea a little? When I give it some thought, I feel if the knockback were damage dependant it'd be about the same as if it were distance dependant.  I don't know. I do understand now your plight with the knockback though. You shouldn't feel the effects of a close range spas blast at a mid/longer range. For my misunderstanding in the beginning, I apologize.

i wanna spas from 3.7 + little more dmg :) but not that crap from 4.0 :)

btw.

When u relase 4.1 ?:) maybe some news with inf. what have u finish yet ?

join ANY european public server..

And im against any knockback from spas hit. even w/out it its superbly powerful weapon on close range. removing the knockback would give a chance to counterattack. thats the point.

well i thought it may be LR users mostly opposed to it so why not use both.
