Ugh, don't use cl_avidemo. Download FRAPS and capture video from the demo using it. It will be editable in any video software if you have FRAPS installed.

Ugh, don't use FRAPS. Use the built-in avi record function of ioUrbanTerror. :)

Yeah there is no need to use FRAPS. ioUrbanTerror can record both video (not limited to any fps or resolution) and can record audio.
The advantage of using ioUrbanTerror to capture avi is that non of the frames will be skipped that is generated by the engine. During the capture it might looks slow, but the avi will have all the frames written to. Unlike FRAPS, which needs a fast system to be able to achieve the same and at the same time has limitation in resolutions and fps in capture.

e.g.: for decent quality motion blur, you need to be able to capture at minimal 250 fps. Something FRAPS cannot do.

But the thing with capturing with ioUrbanTerror is, the avi generated is not really so much ment for the average playback joe. The avi generated by ioUrbanTerror is either uncompressed (huge file) or compressed with MJPEG (still kinda big). To make the playback smoother, it's best to compress them to divx/xvid or some mpeg4 compression format (x264 or QuickTime) if you wish them watch them.

Config for movie capturing in ioUrbanTerror/ioQ3: here
(if you really must capture it in Q3A for whatever reason, contact me and i'll adjust the script accordingly for Q3A recording).

Copy it in your q3ut4 directory and when you started UrT type in console:
/exec nexumovie.cfg

(Make sure you backed up your own config first!!!!!!)

ALT = change between first person and 3rd person
CTRL = change between drawing hud elements or non at all
F9 = Turns hud items on/off such as teamscore, teamoverlay, teamoverlayscore
F10 = Turns timer on/off
F11 = Start recording an avi
F12 = Stop recording the avi

F1 = slowest (0.1 normal speed)
F2 = very slow (0.2 normal speed)
F3 = half of normal speed
F4 = 3/4 of normal speed
F5 = normal speed
F6 = 1.5 of normal speed
F7 = double speed
F8 = 5x normal speed

[up/left/down/right]ARROWS = camera preset for angles in 3rd person view
NUMPAD5 = camera preset with fixed distance and angle from behind the character
NUMPAD UP = camera closer to the character
NUMPAD LEFT = turn camera left of the character
NUMPAD DOWN = camera further away from the character
NUMPAD RIGHT = turn camera right of the character
NUMPAD[1,3,7,9] = camera preset positions

See the config for the rest of the bindings like FOV change.

Note: At the end of the config there is where the resolution is set for. See the list of res* variables. Its default set at resHD720p settings (1280x720). But it's best if you turn it down. To let say DV resolution (res720_480). Just adjust the last line accordingly.

For capturing scenes for a movie its best not to use fullscreen mode so you can tell the engine to run at a resolution of some video standard (DV NTSC, PAL, HD) which your monitor might not be capable of doing. This way you could even run the game engine and capture at a higher resolution than your screen can display (such as HD1080i).

I can't get it.
