looking for a weapon cycle script Rate Topic: -----

one that would allow me to go primary -> secondary -> pistol -> nades in this exact order and doesnt get screwed up when i drop/pick up a weapon

if anyone has anything such as this can you paste it on please?

set wc_01 "set cycle vstr wc_02;ut_weaptoggle primary secondary"
set wc_02 "set cycle vstr wc_03;ut_weaptoggle secondary sidearm "
set wc_03 "set cycle vstr wc_01;ut_weaptoggle sidearm primary"

vstr wc_01

bind x "vstr cycle"


there is no way i know of to weapontoggle to nades . you might be able to add a fourth line for a certain type like "weapon 11" is HE nades

ut_weaptoggle grenade works fine.

yes but if you have "ut_weaptoggle grenade anyweapon" you can't toogle granades if you get the second type, only HE=>weapon=>HE=>weapon and so on.. no way of chosing smoke ones (at least it does'n work fine for me)

aw so if i did such a script and had smoke nades i wont be able to cycle to them?

btw how do i get a 2nd bind to cycle in reverse?

Change the last line of his script to:
set wc_03 "set cycle vstr wc_04;ut_weaptoggle sidearm grenade"

and just add two more lines to his script:
set wc_04 "set cycle vstr wc_05;ut_weaptoggle grenade grenade"
set wc_05 "set cycle vstr wc_01;ut_weaptoggle grenade primary"

Not kid tested nor mother approved.

i think i have an idea to make a reverse script but just in case, is there an easy way to get a bind to go the opposite direction?

ok i just tried it out and ran into 2 problems:

1) there is "dead space" between empty slots -it would still try to cycle to the nades even if they are not equiped....you then have to cycle again to the next slot

2) the weapon cycle can still get screwed up by picking up and dropping different weapons

I switched my play style and binds when the ut_weaptoggle showed up. I now use the mousewheel up to ut_weaptoggle primary secondary and the mousewheel down to ut_toggle secondary sidearm and mouse3 to ut_toggle grenade bomb. I never really needed to select the knife, but now I have that bound to a key close to home (WASD) so I can boot.

I'm not sure you will find a very competitive solution in the direction you are currently going unless you hire Nologic. Check www.desrat.com for samples of his genious.
