Our clan was very surprised by this horrible announce about you, SeveOfNine You are well known in this community, that is sure.

Your story is incredible... but this incredible story could happen to everybody ! Sly, our leader, and a lot of old warriors of our clan believe your story. They send a confidence and trust message to you. Like my brothers in arm, I say good luck to you.

Our clan is actually strongly fighting the cheaters, by our own way or with Urban Terror Admin Alliance. Cheaters are more and more active in this game. There is a big part of new players that are directly discovering this game by hacked version (!) But there is also more and more intelligent cheaters : they could be in every clan, even the best and famous (yes!)...

I'm, as admin and developer of our game bot "Lucienne", particularly attentive to all this crap. Yes, this game is actually destroyed by a lot of losers "hardly equipped". So, if there is a cheat detection for someone, who he could be, when it could be, and where it could be, we think that all clans and leagues have to ban him definitively. We have always apply this in my clan (we have really a lot of IP masks and guids banned from ours servers for cheat). As said your teammate, its is hard : this is death penalty. Yes. If we want to stop that cheaters wave, cheating must be punished by the death penalty.

With your sad story, HSO and UTZ admins have a really difficult decision to take. A lot of players and teams believe in your innocence, SevenOfNine (me the first). But , in the other hand, this is a dangerous precedent if the league admins accept your explanation... I really don't want to be in the place of them !

A solution for them, and for the future, could be to create a "Justice Court" for this game, with the main teams leaders and developers too. All league or clan could ask to this court to judge if there is doubt about a player. And justice for all...

Valk and I are indeed reviewing the case as it stands. We have posted news on www.urbanleague.co.uk to address the obviouse reaction. We do stand by our attempt to keep order in a situation we are not accustomed with dealing. We hope the members of the communitie bare with us, as we are trying our very hardest to make the difficult desions correctly, something we require a little time to get right first time.

Since xxinixx quoted me and failed to put it into the proper context. I wanted to hereby make clear the intention of what i said, that xxinixx has quoted me for. I dont want people to abuse it and twist it for their own self righteous purpose to use this opportunity to clear their name even tho they were guilty of cheating. No matter if that was on a public server or during a league match. Such as: "I only cheated one map!" or "I only tried the cheat on a public server!".
The intention of what i said was not that he was caught hacking; in the contrary, he was caught for being careless for letting someone to play UrT on his laptop unsupervised. Hence something like this happens. I just wanted to make sure people in this community dont interpret me wrong on what xxinixx has quoted me.

In our league we require all people playing in the league to save there demos. We are therefore going to request 7of9's demos from wars he has participated in. Im sure our findings will show that even with wireframes and the other "hack finding tools" will clear him.

In the event of us finding no signes of cheating / wallhacks etc we will revoke all action taken against IT and 7of9 with a formal appologie.

However, i do wish to make it clear that in cases such as this in the future we will be adopting a ZERO tolerence policy. We are currently ammending the rules with this in big large letters.

I hope that people in the community do not view us as monsters, but only admins of a league trying to make the right choices.

If you read this SevenOfNine i will be on IRC later. I will supply you with FTP space for you demos.

I am sorry you have to deal with this Seven of Nine. I know what it's like to get blamed for the actions of another all of a sudden. I suggest if you ever find out exactly who was on your computer and did that, you slap the nonsense outta them. I personally do believe what Seven of Nine is saying and that some person in his life was careless enough to be a dickhead like that. Good luck to you.

This is a hard place for anyone to be because it will set a precedent. Do you wave the punishment and open the way for future hacks? Can you have a double standard when it comes to breaking the rules? These decisions are what makes us human-choice. It always comes down to one person's choice and anything is possible. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. I think it's clear that the community believes you and I played with you--no way you would cheat.

I wish you luck and always know that you aren't banned from my servers!

Raider, even though I am not involved in this, I want to thank you for deciding to review the actions that have been taken. It's good to see that the administrators of a league will take time to review a situation like this.
