Hi

Since 2 days i dont get a full server list anymore, much less than 1450 which is normal.
The strange thing is that all servers i get, have a ping between 160 and 760. The servers get just 100 or 200 ping extra.
If i connect to a server, then ingame the ping is fine, after some awaiting ofcourse....
(if i search later again for servers, i still get the same high pings....)

My urt menu is not changed,
I have 1 master: cl_master urbanterror.info,
and I tried it with disabling of my Firewall: no good results.
A little search on the forum didnt help me either

Servers with a ping higher than 800 will not show up by default on the server list
so are you sure you don't have processes with high background traffic running or
do you share your internet over a router, with other ppls that use a lot of your bandwidth?

All servers have high ping, the last 2 days.

When i run: tracert fs1.urbanterror.info
It shows at line 2 to 30: timeout (first line is my pc i think...)

As far as i know i dont have specific in/out processes on the background

Webbrowser just works fine

I do use utorrent, but its not running when i try/start urt(also not in systemtray)
I did run it a few times with urt, jumpmap. It gave no problem.


Can i somehow make a log of my processes and send you?
I got a programm called system explorer, but im pc noob. On windows 7 64bit.

EDIT: Im alone on my internet. no problems with that.

If the server appears in the serverlist, with high ping, i can connect or do /connect ip and when im ingame i have the normal ping.
But when i leave that server, and i start search again, i see same high pings...

There is a chance its related to this occasion.
Few days ago, at night, i had utorrent and urt open. Screen i putted off, because i was taking a walk outside. I came back and the pc had restarted. It appears that i have windows update full automatic. (i thought i had set it to warn me, no dl or install)
Maybe this could have messed up my urtserversearch...

It could be that your ISP has a broken route to our Servers DataCenter.

Sadley its almost certainly in the "Inbound" direction. To this end... there will not be anything we can do. You can try speaking with your ISP to check the issue out for you.

Do you get any lag on our website?

Hi

- I had for short time lag on all websites....

- Checked out modem settings (installed it 3 years ago with XP, now im on 7), resetted modem, reinstalled my network driver. Didnt contact yet my ISP.

- Today it looks ok, i tested urt with utorrent open (for 10 min), and masterserver works fine now. Must try urt after hours of utoorent, so need a week longer to be sure.

Hi

I think its solved.
After last post i still had problems, now not anymore.
I read on forum that the NAT-PMP may hang, also after closing utorrent. And then you get horrible internet acces for hours and hours, even after pc reset.

So, i deselected it yesterday (UPnP is still selected, I dont know about those protocols....., i just have firewall and modem, no router) and urt searching and connecting to servers just works now how it should work

Another mistery solved ;)
