everytime i go through the list looking for a server to play on i catch myself almost skipping most servers with a custom map. but not because i don't like them, i think it has something to do with the fact that they are beeing displayed in red. maybe i'm just weird like that, but i think that newer players might think there is something wrong with the server, so in my opinion it should be changed to some other color.
leave your suggestions :P

The current color is orange (if r_gamma = 1).
I'm not sure what color is the best, but we will see if such a change is needed.
Thanks for the call :)

Yellow has been tested out, and it is really similar to the white color. Therefore you can't differenciate it well in the server list.
We'll see if we can find something better.

Since we were talking about it on one of my readings at uni today:

red
appears strong, active
(long term attention)

orange
appears warm, friendly

yellow
appears bright, happy
(strong short term attention)

green
appears calm, passive, natural

blue
serious, cold, stable

purple
appears dark, special, graceful
(used for special, often also supernatural things)

Depending on your culture colors can have different meanings as well.
In some asian countries the color yellow for instance is seen as a very female color (like pink in the western world).
Also different color combinations can recall different reactions in us as well: e.g. If you see a red and a green card you will likely think about Pro and Contra etc.

Thanks for the cultural contribution Schnork, it might help us to choose the right colour :P

Are you talking about the ^3 one or ^) ?
I know the yellow that is used for ^3 is very pale and ^) is stronger; i didn't really find it hard to differenciate ^) from white.

I'm not sure if it is wize to depend on colours other than the 0-7 ones. The other ones are more or less a memory issues generated by a wrong table indexation where the code tries to get a value of a negative part of an array (which technicaly does not exist). I'm not sure if that is intentional or a bug.
