I think creating sub-groups of the Autos in the menu and differentiating between them like, sub-machine, Heavy weapons, and assault, will cause problems down the road and will spawn foreseeable arguments that all the guns should be tweaked according to their new 'sub-grouping' and other arguments attaining to the new weapons group title.
All I'm saying is be careful, you never know what seemingly harmless addition will cause game changing problems down the road.
Just my 2 cents.

Looking quite nice,
i would like to see an indicator that if i choose grenades or a secondary i will loose my 3rd item. I mean, im aware of it, but if choosing a secondary locks out the itemslot entirely, like it 4.2, an indicator would be nice the other way around as well.
also i would like to see number keys working. Should work for the shown screen, maybe doesnt for the script based submenus.
