Yeah I used a sun I think, but I'm not sure now, anyway I had already thought about the "direction" of the sun, it will generally be up in the direction I used. The texture was exported as 1920x1080 (at 100%) I think, but the texture was reduced to 1024x512.
Maybe I should just use a model and who cares about FPS/tris/r_speeds! XD

I was thinking of keeping this as a nice surprise in the map, but I'd like to share it, also to see what you guys think about it.
I made a model of a Sundial, it's supposed to be big, the players can walk on it and the gnomon (the thing that casts the shadow) is taller than the player. Apparently the model got a weird stretch in a face, I might need to re-export it but so far I'm satisfied of the results.
It has less than 100 triss but I didn't read how many exactly. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated. The model was made entirely in blender. The golden parts were originally meshes but have been converted to texture to reduce the tris count, and it looks better like this anyways.

:D Thank you very much! The texture looks awesome in a close-up but I just discovered that it's about 20MB (!!!) so I might need to reduce it in size, which means it might lose some quality but well.

Am I alone here? Anyway, here's another asset I created today. I'll probably fix the UV to make the details look better, because the rest is black lol as usual, suggestions/comments are appreciated.
