now i am totally game for UrT HD!! this video made the difference.. jumping backwards and forwards looks a tad akward but who cares! lol as long as its compatable with all the same maps which it is its AMAZING thefore it is
Bare in mind that this is in alpha, there is still work and further refinements/adjustments to make. but as a whole it looks amazing, and will only get better as the team works on it.
so the jump animations may look a little awkward to some, but with time we can iron out any issues.
I am glad that you like the progress made so far.

idtech4 does not look like the best option given all the work put into idtech3 by the team. Sorry.
As we progress with things we will be releasing vids/updates: It has been a little while since the last one, so stay tuned.

Well we have MD5, Spec and normal as well as bump maps so as far as that goes it’s the same as idtech4.
Basically there is no such thing as old code and it’s not like it has a shelf life or something and just because something has a bigger number does not mean that it’s a better choice. Besides we are licensed to use idtech3 not 4.
On the other hand if everyone what’s a huge jump in visual graphics then the technology is already there and in a lot of cases built right into the hardware but that would greatly push up the minimum specifications.
