Moreover, extra skins = extra work hours required to make them. I would prefer FS to spend that assets on different things :D We can play UrT without pink DE.

Well..
We all have our skills.
And i guess if all of us helped, the game would become a lot better, and it'd be released a lot faster.

Game assets and source code needs to be kept private for security reasons (we want WORKING anti-cheat, right?:) ) And I don't know how many skilled modelers with skill required to make video games would work for FREE. We talk here about hundreds of work-hours per game element.
My 2 cents.

A skin doesnt takes that long maybe 1 week if you have no work to do and 2-3 if you are "normal" busy (dont know how to say that lol).

The issue here is that there is no real rush to push HD out faster than our team is able. Being a FS Dev required a strong attention to our new standards. UrT HD is benched as a new game as we have been saying for ages now. We maintain a strong recruitment discipline to make sure that our devs have the required mindset. What you see is most likely take "30" of the same thing done, over and over again until it meets our tough standards!

The 4.1 UMP, LR, AK, skins took 80 hours each. That would be two weeks for someone working 40 hrs a week as their full time job not as a hobby that they work on when they have spare time. When we see someone in the community with the skill level we need we invite them to join the team like we did with H0i.
