Hmmm, i still find the different types of red for red team not very nice. And that 1 female skin stays pink here, no matter if i put gamma 0.5.

Wanna bump my first post on page 1.

Why has blue team more uni-color pants than red team?
I mean, in many maps you have places you can see only the legs. This makes the teams unbalanced.
I can understand different types of camouflage for both teams, but i cant understand why blue has more uni-color pants than red team?

Some of the new skins are really cool, but is it good for the gameplay? I would say no.

BTW, the male you say is grey is actually black. You have your gamma set far too high if you see it as grey like in your screen shots.

But why would the red team have black skins? That's what doesn't make sense to me.
It's also not about my gamma values. I could take the same screenshots with a lower gamma value and it would still show the same effect (dark skins blending in with the background faster than red, orange or blue skins).

At the time the community hated the 2.3 skins so much that the texture artist who made them quit never to be heard from again. Same happened with later skins that Miles did and once again he quit.

I don't hate the new skins, I also never said something like that.. quite the opposite actually. No need for your over-protective mode here. I'm not hating on the work you've done for the game so far or anything.

My ambition is handicapped by my laziness.

Shan I used rgb red for the red female skin. If you see pink then your gamma is set too bright. This variable makes it very hard to get the colours the same on everyone's system. I use colour correction on my Samsung SyncMaster 245t monitor so my colours are correct. I can't do anything about people who use high gamma to get rid of any shadows like in the screenshots above. If I make the skins super dark so they are not washed out by the high gamma they will be too dark for those who do not over do the gamma.

Hey

I agree with you that docDude’s gamma is far too high. The new skins look great! And though a lot of peeps seem to be complaining more than anything these days, the developers should know that they need to have a thicker skin going in.
Don’t quit when people point out things that may, or may not improve the game. Take what you can from it and move on. Remember that the majority of the people who post on the net, are usually the unhappy ones.
Most people that are happy, are also content to go with the flow when something good comes out. So, you may never hear them say this.
Thanks a bunch for all your efforts! You’ve done some good work here that is very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing what’s next. Peace.
On that note, agreed that more camo would be nice. And the left hand that is a little orange and doesn’t match the real color of the uniform would be cool if it is fixed. And that hand also looks weird from third person or mirror, when holding a pistol or a nade. These are small things, nice to haves compared to the strides being taken in 4.2.004 and would make an already great game greater.
Any progress on the server crashes, Bladekiller? It seems that it is still the hit mesh around the legs that takes down the servers.

Thanks again,

Fixing the downloading issue and server crash are the top priorities right now. We think we finally found the exact source of the crashes, if this is 100% confirmed we will get a fix out.

Regarding the skins, I too noticed that the reds are now much harder to spot than before. Here's what I see:

It looks like one of the models has very grey legs, the other has a very dark torso. (None in the picture are wearing helmet or kevlar).

I REALLY like the new colors. RED and BLUE instead of orange and aqua.

I do NOT like that 1 model on each team always looks like they are wearing kevlar.
