It's DNA evidence and if someone was dumb enough to log into a AUTH enabled server they gave us all the samples we needed and they only had to do so once.

Yes, we know perfectly the reason of the ban thought we didn't posted it since it's going to be long. r00t gave an example on IRC some minutes ago which I will report here so ppl know we have consistent informations:

I agree with KMS, it'd be nice to have a bit more transparency to understand how exactly those cheaters were tracked down.

Good to have it public now, I hope it'll discourage players to try out hacks..

Is the AC detecting any changes in the statistical trend of the player's gaming statistics (hits, K:D, Acc, weapon, etc...)? How would we know if there is a bug in the AC and it falsely bans a player...? I think the best work around for this is that when the AC detects something, the server automatically records a demo for X amount of time and saves it in the server for later review if necessary, and/or does "/tell" (pm) to RCON + Head admins of the group that the server is affiliated with, if they currently are in the same server or another server with Auth on (so the admin could go back to their home server and check out the suspect). I know nothing about how servers work, so please don't hurt me if this is theoretically not even possible!

Also, now that Auth is down, how are you going to correlate cheaters to their username (IP?)? And any plan set to stop the cheaters who have been caught from creating another account?
