is mouse/keyboard input lost? are slides interrupted?
when those "freezes" occur?

As I said before I get this freezes, too.
I tried it with dmaHD disabled - no difference
I tried it with s_initsound 0 - no difference
It has nothing to do with hard disk writing since I use an SSD.
Disabling: dynamic light, blood, bullet marks and shells helped a small bit so It stopped to play sound files twice.
Btw this stuttering is not present in jump servers.

To me it feels just like the mini freeze I get right when I hit the screenshot or demo button for the first time.
It feels like writing to the hard disk.

Exactly as beautifulNihilist says. It's exactly like when you hit your screenshot bind. Life pauses during the screenshot, and resumes once it's completed. KarlMariaSeeberg, everything is interrupted and at a complete standstill for a brief moment and then you are fast forwarded to live gametime. Imagine this occurring several times a second when it is at its worst.

Thanks for this .exe in the official client download. That's a good step.
The next one would be to understand what fails in the code, since our processor are easily able to understand SSE2. Mine for example: http://ark.intel.com/products/53422/
I let other test new builds. I'm on hiatus for now.
