Working fine on Kubuntu 13.10.

I do miss the feedback from the old updater though, it would display what file was being checked when running the checksums. v4 currently just gives you a warning that it may take a while:



You can also see that the icon background shows up as a different shade to the other background on my DE.

The updater was supposed to include a choice of builds, like roots build, I was only stating that a build with VBO should be included. If this is the wrong thread then point me into the right direction as I seem to be lost.

No, it is a 64 bit machine (with Debian/testing 64bits, gnome 3.8 desktop).

In any case, I tried deleting (moving to out folder) each executable (.i386 or .x86_64) in turn, and also both at the same time, but the updater does not detect any and always says game is up to date.

Also, I tried a full installation (in a new empty folder), after license accept and settings window, the q3ut4 subfolder was created and only the game files were downloaded there, but none executable.

The updater-cfg.xml created contains the following:

Oops my bad, you were right. It was a mistake on my side in the API. It should download the engine files on Linux now, please confirm the fix! :)

Now works but when I click on Play the game don't start. I'm check the permissions and I see the binaries don't have execute rights.

After change the permissions the game start from the Updater. This folder is a subfolder from my home profile, I don't know if the Updater need's change the permission or the people needs change it manually.

Yes, I confirm in Debian/testing 64bits the updater now downloads both executables Quake3-UrT.x86_64 and Quake3-UrT-Ded.x86_64.
Good job.

P.S.: In my case the same as Drizzt, lack of execution permisions for both executables.

just noticed that i was running 4.2.017 after using the beta updater.. which is odd... gets you the .017 zip
