Hello fellow URT players and FS Team!
I have just been wondering... and I know its abit early but still.
When the game comes out to steam, will the original old school players who played this game in 4.1/2 gain something for playing the game while it is still developing?
Maybe like a new notierity status :"Legacy" to the old school players who are playing the game right now?
This legacy status could let us colour our name, get unique skins for guns (if there are going to be gun skins) and other unique features.

Just a thought.

There is already notoriety status evoluing according to your time played on 4.2, or since you're registered.

about the gun skins i can't give you any anwser, will have to wait someone from FS to know.

That is not exactly right. As far as I know right now the only notoriety statuses higher than "basic" are for the QA, Forum Staff and Dev team.

But the player admittedly ran his computer 24/7 and joined his own server to stay in spectators in order to reach the top of the "most time spent in-game" list, so..

Maybe in the future, the notoriety status can be evaluated for the time played in-game, using the auth and the time registered in your Urban Terror user profile.
I don't understand much about the Gun Skins :v maybe if you are looking the way for edit this, you need go to the .pk3 files and find the weapons for edit this.

Yes, having different materials (skins) for the weapons that you unlock by building up your notoriety (we have a much more robust notoriety system planned that we can't add to Q3UrT ) is something we want to do. We want to do this for the player model's gear, also, and even special player models. We have a lot of cool stuff on our wish list for HD.

Notoriery is currently disabled and is indeed only applied to some of the FS or related members.
But we might have it working for good at some point... :)
