Servers In 4.1?

I still have 4.1 installed. However, when I try to find servers the entire "Internet" tab list is empty. Even if I click on "Get New List" or the "Refresh" option, no servers show up. Does it have something to do with the host address? Or is 4.1 not playable anymore?

We do not support anymore 4.1. Therefore our Master Servers for that version are no more.
Best advice I could give you would be to switch to 4.2 -> download here.

So there is absolutely no way I can play 4.1? It's officially over. All of it. Is that what you're saying?

well, the way the entire game is built you can always play it as long as you find active servers. but 4.1 is even more inactive than 4.2, thus i dont think its worth the worries.....
Sorry for my bad spelling - I am still asleep. :)

So it IS playable? Though I can't find any servers. I think I need to change the host or something, right? It's something I used to input into the console way before, and it worked. Don't know how to do it now, though.
there are still some 4.1 servers online, for example sexy's ctf has ~20+ players every evening. i personally recommend 4.1, lots of fun.
to receive a list of 4.1 servers you have to put set cl_master "master.quake3arena.com" in your config file or at the end of autoexec.cfg or type it in console...
