I agree, linux gets more fps on urt (on nvidia cards anyway) and has superior eye candy (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZD7QraljRfM), no to mention better security

Hey whats up guys!

Let's explain my little story ( almost the same as everyone )

I bought [glow=blue,2,300]Vista Home Prenium[/glow] 1 week ago ( Of course a legit one ) and even if you guys dont like it, i like it but this isnt the problem here. Every single game that i installed are working GREAT, until i installed Urban terror ( no wounder! ). I installed Quake III and the patch 1.32 and Urban terror 4.0 . Everything was going well until i enabled Punkbuster! The moment when you click at Enable PB the game starts to do a little skip every 3 seconds. So the FPS is Crap and when i connect succesfuly to a server i got crapy ping with crapy FPS and the game lags every 3 seconds it makes like a stop and go action. I tried to change /rate and nothing... whatever. I red many comments and forums about Urban terror and Vista and nothing helped for now even the administrator thing or the compatibility to XP. This isnt the only problem, sometimes when i join a server like NSB or some common servers i get kick for empty CD KEY.. strange? i wrote it correctly and the q3key is where it should be ( baseq3 folder ). And another problem that i dont understand, when i open the q3config.cfg file and change some cvars i cannot save my file it says " Access to C:/Program Files/Quake III Arena/q3ut4/q3config.cfg was denied". If someone has an idea im open to every suggestion

Ohh good new and bad news. I just tried another time PB enable and quit and put administrator privilege and compatibility to XP and its working good. but after 2 minutes of playing i got kick for "RESTRICTION: Missing/Corrupted Windows API Function [131144]".

I dont understand what evenbalance wants to tell us? PB will work or wont work with VISTA? Anyway i hope some answers and HAVE A GREAT VACATION TIME.

Good news.. the link that i gave you in my thread works great. We, Vista users, to use PB, we have to download the installer in the first FAQ question link... Its gonna install some processes that are gonna be used as System to make PB work great!

Finally i can play !
