I also have user account control off, i think it's fucking stupid, and im having no problems with my vista install on pb servers....... and if u turn off gadgets u get a bit of a boost lol

user account control, basically is that popup asking you if you are sure you want to allow the program to run, after you double clicked it

to enable/disable it go to control panel, user accounts and from there u have the option to disable it.

my last attempt was with UAC on, I'll try again with UAC off, though tbh I dont like the idea of disabling security just to get pb working

Thanks, Homie. That got it working. The only problem now is that, even with the new Forceware Vista 100.59 drivers, my frame rate is unplayable... almost to the point where it's measured in seconds per frame. Anyone have any problem with that?

vista seems to me like an os for joe sixpack who just wants to write his shopping lists and look at the occassional (tits loaded) powerpoint some friend sends him, but not for gamers. nontheless, getting pb to work properly is on evenbalance.
