ok, i have a few more quick questions.

1.Is there a special place i have to extract the contents and stuff?

2.were can i get a step by step instructions to set it up as qk3?

3. is there some way i could get a mapmaker that i use software that is sort of like google sketchup?

4. is it possible for me to use google sketchup to make the .pk3 files instead or something that is free like it?

pk3 is a zip

just rename it ut4_mymap.pk3

i was asking because when i download the mapmaker file i dont know what to do next. all i get are a few files that are html in a folder called docm, a readme, and a pk3 file.

also i was wondering about google sketchup because of its features to make 3d objects like:







afew last ?'s i hope:

1.is there some way i can fix the mapmaker program am i doing it all just wrong.

2.were do i extract the mapmaker files from the program that i download.

3.do i need to know how to right script or html for this to work.

i hope u can help me with these questions and im srry for all the trouble. im totally new to running my own urt server and makeing maps. evnen though i can use the ones that came with it i want to try to make some of my own to use. thanxs again for the help.

can u give me a list of everything im going to need and were i can find it? I run windows vista 32bit if that helps./ also i will need to know where to put the files if they come in zips and stuff. Thanx ahead of time. Don't mind what i wrought before it made things way more complicated. also if u can can u tell me what exactly what i have to do with each file.

Huh... I was wondering what are the REM statements ... When you install the MapMaker with the .bat file it says:

"Let's first make some quick edits to this batch file. I'll open notepad so you can make the changes. Read the REM statements! They will help you understand the install process."

You have to go farther down the page and after the REM it says what to do... it says if you have it installed already or somthing, to put true, or if not, put false. and other things like that... you just put true or false to the questions.
