Ok, so the ut4_crenshaw.pk3 i got from your server is in fact, ut_crenshaw_rc2 reworked, and repacked.

    This means someone:

    A) did this without my consent, I gave NO ONE the right or consent to rework or re-release this map in any form...ever.
    B) repacked it without the readme license file, also a big no no.
    C) didn't take credit.....which is good because god help you if I find out.

This map was meant for testing purposes only for a potential release with 3.0, and was never meant to be out in the public in this form....ever.

    has ut_crenshaw.pk3 and ut4_crenshaw.pk3

    I don't think I've seen rc2.

I have the standard ut_crenshaw.pk3, im looking for the level I sent out for the community to beta test. And there should be no ut4_crenshaw.p3, if there is, whomever converted it did so without my knowledge or consent.

The team is a little busy with getting Resurgence up and running. We appreciate your passion for the stop of cheating.

But I think it best to prepare you. You cannot stop all the boutique cheaters. Best we can do is stop the blatant ones that ruin the game enmasse, and even that is a full time job for a small team of volunteers. I play on FA almost exclusively, and I have noticed some "blessed" players, but no one I would think of as a cheater. As for claiming that FA is a den of cheaters, that's a very inflammatory accusation without any real proof. I don't think that's productive. Best to be patient and work with the Admin, and not against him.

Got a lot of love on this dude (to help you with motivation) <3

I have received a lot of requests over the years to finish the revamp of this map. I had to explain that the engine was holding me back from updating the art to keep up with the times. I appreciate the love given, and being a man of my word, I said if SID/FS decided to move to a current gen game engine I would take up the mantle, so here I am. I'm excited, The Urban Terror community was home for a great many years, and I definitely miss that indie vibe where gameplay > revenue.

Thanks Happy Day, these were the answers I was looking for. I know you are working on an example map, I cant wait to see that as well. All I am really looking for is a starting point to get the base collision down. I have a rough version that I think works for now, but since I wasn't sure about what the physics of jumping, ledge grabbing etc have been changed to, I didn't want to get too far ahead of myself only to need a lot of rework once I have access to an alpha build of some kind.

So, what I have done is a cursory pass of collision with the changes that I wanted to make from Beta2. Yes, my hard drive went tits up so I lost all the textures and meshes like the pool and courtyard art pass. But that's not so bad considering I would have to go back and upres everything anyway. Remember that art pass was done in 2006, so everything would have to be redone. I exported a version of the map with the art pass, but the frames were horrific, and the lightmaps were maxed out. Randy (ydnar the author of Q3map2) told me I was basically screwed so I just gave up on the ID tech version of the map. SEE IMAGE BELOW

So, I am reworking the art pass from the pool again, this time using a newer version of MAYA, and lots of other tools, Mudbox etc. Ill post pics when I have something to show which I am hoping will be soon.
