I'm only shoutcasting independently/unofficially from the demos provided by Urban-Zone, so I guess no? But I'll check that out... sounds interesting.

If the things I just noted is already existent with that, then just disregard that post.

EDIT: Hmm... I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere?

Very neat and useful, but I was thinking that, but while spectating one of the ten players from the first person.

I probably phrased my post weird... will try to make it more clear.

I just noticed that Urban Terror totally lacks a master volume slider and maybe even a mute "checkbox".

The whole menu could probably use a redesign, to be honest...

I came across this once again, and thought i might leave a few notes :P


1st things 1st, i personally would prefer this thing to have the "already done" ones in a spoiler. that would increase readability by a lot.

Anyways: more specific things:

  • Allow users issue RCON commands without entering the password relying on the auth_owners group members
  • Improve the use of ut_echo (thread)

Already done in 4.3

  • cg_crosshairBrightness - Brightness of the crosshair.
  • Crosshair thickness CVAR

Brightness can be set via cg_crosshairrgb (which also accepts an alpha value iirc, but that doesn't matter)
thickness cant really be done, due to how the implementation works. (via tga images). custom crosshairs sorta fix this as well though.

  • Make a tutorial demo

i made a topic about a simple tutorial map i created about a year back, but cant seem to find it anymore.
oh well. might do so again when needed/requested by FS :P

  • Balance secondary weapons, currently only UMP is viable

I do disagree. personally i prefer the mp5 over the ump due to the higher fire-rate.

  • Adding "logic entities" (thread)

such thing basically already exists real oldschool article at simonOCs website about that

  • Enhancing the Server Info button (thread)

a playerlist already is in that serverinfo. (at least since 4.1 if im not mistaken.)
you have to scroll down to see it though, which could be changed by either moving the settings info to a new tab or simply switching up playerlist and settings.
Maybe if i find time......... :P

  • Add a cg_votepos command

  • Enable the use of custom KillSounds

@ cg_votepos, this was about being able to position the "vote box" where you want on your screen. Alike the cg_mappos cvar for the minimap.
@ tutorial demo, you'd need to check with Barbatos or BladeKiller why it has been removed, and if we want to add a tutorial back in.
