This sounds like a fun idea for practicing, but for speed runs it ruins things.

speed runs Lol, though most of the time like icy series, would use up a lot of energy.
other then that. maybe you know what to do but you have to practice.

My point is that if you had a recharge button, it would affect speed runs. Everyone would use the recharge button during speed runs and it would be kind of lame.

I for one, dont really like the whole "crystal" thing. It might be a cool thing to implement but if it will end once all crystals have been picked up really screws over the people who are either 1) noobs or 2) just learning the map. I dont see the point in it all w/ the crystals and all that. And people shouldnt have to /devmap the map in case theres never enough time to beat a map. Having other people in the server is what makes jumping so fun. Theres no competition whatsoever and people are chill (unless theyre raging about no being able to beat a jump) and you can always ask someone for help/advice. That sense of community should never be taken away.
The gamemode should be like FFA where everyone is on one team but should act like TDM or CTF or any other team-based gametype with ut_radio commands, minimap showing everyone, player name/health showing when pointing at them, and armband colors showing.
Negative on the non-blocking thing someone suggested. Thats what makes it fun, especially noob towers :]
Someone said something about having non-clipped lines showing how to make a jump. HappyDay made a map called ut4_happyjumptutorial that uses that. Like in the name its a tutorial so its getting the less skilled jumpers the advice to beat the jumps.
If anything could be done about telefragging, that would be oh so amazing. The only problem I see is what happens on maps like ut4_bisjumps where there is one spawn point. In one game I used to play called Soldier of Fortune, when people spawned at same time, they got stuck in eachother. Thats what I see happening if telefragging can be avoided.
Overall I love the fact that the jumping community finally sparked a new gametype that was well overdue and thank you for that 27.
