1st the final poses are not set yet as to how the weapon will sit in the idle position and is still to be determined. As they are now they are intentionally over exaggerated to be able to see a clear difference between the key poses.
If the SR8 is no-scoped fired then it will fire just like the other weapons with out a scope would. For that matter the scoped posed is the same as the firing pose with the exception that it locks into the firing position as long as the player is using the scope.

The new scoping animation and sr8 skin are good

Thanks for the kind words.
Lets not forget to give Bladekiller some sugar as well as I believe that she is responsible for the modeling as well as texturing of the SR8. I just touched up the texture a bit with a 3d paint program and moved a few vertices as I have the ability to hot swap the model

Hello everyone.
I have no idea if i am at the right place and writhing this
This is kinda a video comment to Frankie_V about the video for Urban Terror 4.2 Sniper:
Name of the video is: New Scope Animation for Urban Terror 4.2
Youtube link:
When a sr8 player (or psg player too i guess) is running, shoudln't the weapon be down just like the other weapons. I mean, i've got that impression the new version of Urban Terror 4.2 should be as realistic as possible.
If you look at a typical war movie where there is a sniper in the picture, you will never see that a sniper person is running with the weapon up.
If you look for example at USMC, no sniper there would run around with the weapon up like they’re doing in Urban Terror 4.2(atm)?
They're running with the weapon down to the left or right into the chest untill they're gonna shoot, then they're taking up the weapon , scoping and then shooting.
This was just something I thought about when I saw the youtube clip above.
Tell me what you think, maybe it’s only me who thought about it =)
Best Regards
