About that video with Sarah ( 2-4 ) , which seems to show what I thought (& some comments confirmed it & after that I checked again , it is what I thought ) , but even for that what you (I suggest mostly it is Frankie V's work) animated the bow is so wrong .
Where you saw a such ridiculous bow ?! Better don't add bow than to add it wrong ( well,for what you animated there is no matter actually , but still ) .
Might don't sound very plesant , but not being honest for me is disrespect & hypocrisy , better don't animate things which you don't understand please, effect can be very bad sometimes .

PS. BTW for the playermodel shadows is it decided yet what would be the shadows ? Should be expected real dynamic playermodelshadows , which are determined by the dynamic component of the light (and ,yes, I understand why not everylight should be realised the new way, don't lose time to explaining me ;) )

Why are you posting about Sarah's original test videos in the Charles thread? Sarah's baby steps were just that; tests of the new skeletal system to see how it would deform when animated. The fact that the model isn't textured should be a clue that these are very early tests done before we even had the texture system working. BTW, they use motion capture of real human beings moving so your idea that no one bows like that is incorrect as obviously someone did and it was captured by the mocap software. People requested that we release more videos of how things are done and tested so we did.

Well just so you know your about 1.5 years behind on anything relating to Sarah’s baby pictures which were lighting and animation dynamic tests.
As for shadows not sure what we want to do there just yet.
Shadow maps = cheap and easy and less dynamic
Ray Trace = expensive harder to do but more dynamic.

Looks really great, although it does give you a hint how long HD will still take if they finished 2 playermodels out of 20 until now... no offense, I bet it's really difficult! I was also wondering how he would get his knive, or was this just done by the artist and nobody actually knows yet?^^

HD is a rolling release which means you get the content before the entire set is even completed. The push at the moment is to get all three builds of the game done along with the auto update system which should come with 6 player models or even more at the rate BK is making them and then after that you go to bed and wake up the next morning with a new player model in the mix.
