Yes, this is the same i tried to explain in my comment in thread for 4.2.004, the problem (apart of updater not checking md5) could be in the way the DNS is configured for "cdn.urbanterror.info" with fallback aliases to "urbanterror.info" that have the same ip that "www.urbanterror.info" which is the web server, not the file server in the content delivery network...

I'm using Linux 64-bit (LMDE) and I also got a problem after installing everything from scratch with the server installer.
I can't load any map, the game fails to find models. It turns out 0002, 0003, and 0011 are HTML files.
Seriously, why don't you distribute a zip bundle in addition to the updater ? I really don't want to reboot on windows and download from there...

EDIT : I've just launched the server updater again and it seems everything worked fine this time. For some reason 0011 was downloaded twice and all the binaries were downloaded again (but not the pk3 I had not deleted - I'm not sure whether this was intended or is a consequence of the bug you report). There's no HTML file this time (by the way, I love the way Linux can differentiate between a text file and an archive regardless of the extension).
If you guys did anything, it works. Congrats. There's still much to do, nevertheless.
If you didn't, well, this updater is REALLY unreliable. Another reason to distribute a zip bundle.

I’m not sure I've seen a full checksum listing for pk3 files on this release..here is what I have, and I'm not finding any weirdness so far.

We just discovered that the updater is broken and is not overwriting the paks it is supposed to.

This should teach you to support distro packagers who do things properly.

Provide a real tarball for gods sake. It's already pissing off archlinux, gentoo and opensuse maintainers.

I am not really sure if openSUSE would ship it because of the dubious Q3A SDK EULA which disallows distribution on digital media devices. Every user creating a ISO with http://susestudio.com/ and burning it to disc would do a criminal act. Using those licenses is really non-sense, but I guess CC-BY-NC-ND was not invented back then.

WARNING Sorry everyone. We just discovered that the updater is broken and is not overwriting the paks it is supposed to. It should overwrite zUrT42_0008.pk3, zUrT42_0009.pk3, zUrT42_0010.pk3, zUrT42_0011.pk3, zUrT42_0012.pk3 and zUrT42_qvm.pk3. If you delete the old pk3's and run the updater it should download the new versions of the above pk3's and get the new zUrT42_0013.pk3.

http://cdn.urbanterr...zUrT42_0009.pk3 and http://cdn.urbanterr...zUrT42_0009.pk3 have identical MD5sums so they definitely have not changed.

I just updated http://software.open...age/urbanterror which provides RPMs for Fedora and openSUSE users. It includes a non-glitched open source GUI updater based on http://sourceforge.n...autodownloader/ which allows incremental updates. Might take some time until my package to the games repository is accepted, published and synced on the mirrors.
