Wouldnt it be good to just show the community and ask for their reaction instead of only QA's? Im in QA, but I must admit I dont know anything about flag placement. Im not expert enough at CTF...

I think that algiers is pretty close to perfect but it seems that the red flag is still a little easier to defend than the blue one. The mouth of the L shaped is bigger on the red side than the blue so it's a bit easier to follow the flag carrier. Also, it seems easier to span camp blue than red because the building blocks better than the hill does. This subtle differences still seem to give red an advantage on algiers.
