lol i'll never forget the first time i discovered this (i never got any help....always liked figuring stuff out on my own ).....i was like "holy f'king shit....that's all i had to f'king do?".....i did it by accident heh

people have a hard time explaining this properly. lets call each part of the ladder a 'step'. on the top step you pull yourself up as high as you can without letting go and falling. then you let go of up and then press it again (and hold it) very quickly after you released it. so you want to press up again and then jump before you fall back down to that top step. this makes it so the game doesnt recognize you still pulling yourself up while wall jumping.
the key is the double tapping of up, ive had 10 people tell me to let go of up and then jump.. that will never work

and yet only a hand full of people i have run into understand the concept ;p
im not trying to be a dick, but... you shouldnt factor in 'common sense' when you are explaining something. you should just fully explain it.
the reason im saying this isnt because you explained it poorly but that there is a lack of 'common sense' these days, and everyone pieces together info in a different way, so the more you give the more likely they are to understand.
