Maybe now finally people will need to snipe with it instaid of using it as a railgun.
I think this change is a good thing.
SR8 was way over powered in 4.0 this gives a good balance.

No sure it gives more balance to the game; sr8 people will not be able to just :
1) rush/move
2) make a quick stop whenever they see an enemy
3) aim and shot them

Now they have to be extra careful and kinda wait using as much cover as possible before moving around.

sniper duels are still the same though... besides, most sr8'ers will still have the 2-shot-kill spas ready when they get rushed

Too be honest i can still perform these 3 actions:

1) rush/move
2) make a quick stop whenever they see an enemy
3) aim and shot them

No sweat, it doesnt help at all its just a nuisance, and makes it unattractive for a noob too try and take the weapon.

Fail.

The SR8 is a railgun, and a one-shot kill. So cry me a river if FS finally put the SR8 with a significant penalty for using it.

And for those of you who want to flame me, I use the SR8, and the PSG1, and all the rest of the weapons.

Jump penalty? Movement Penalty? Bolt action?
It was penalized enough as is, and im not crying, i still hold my own with it just fine, im just saying no noob in his right mind would dare take up this gun now, and thats sad imo.

Imagine youre total noob, you walk around with your lr, who knows, you might actually kill somebody, then you go to your weapons menu and think; "Gee, that sniper rifle look kinda cool"

So now you are walking around with youre sr-8, you have no idea theres a movement or jump penalty, you see an enemy, keep walking, fire, miss, get killed, spawns again, repeat the same action, die again.
Then you lets the cogs in his head work and thinks maybe i should hold still before i fire, so youre walking around again, you sees an enemy, you stop, aim, get shot in the arm, the gun unzooms, it startles you, you gets sprayed by a maniacally laughing AK user,get frustrated, take the lr/ak/g36 back, never touch the gun again.

Bad mojo i say.

Now i know this is sort of extreme, but i can actually see this happening.

For the noob there is always the g36. The most spam friendly headshot machine in the game....even while scoped in.

the actual sr8 is just giving ppl one more reason to camp long range and actually is a good reason because the average joe has no other choice than camping (and praying) for using a sr8.
like SL said,a new player has absolutely no reason to use it and only old players will keep using it.
skilled players are ofc unaffected by the new situation,but the overall game is.


for hs machine is better the ump.pops even more heads than g36 lol
