Thank you. I've been trying out this and works nicely and smooth on mah Fedora 12 64bit. I'll have to try win64 version also. Great job!

Haven't had success building ioq3 myself... :( Where do you get the sources from? Do you patch ioURT or work only with ioq3? I see last official iourt source is from 2007... :/

I can't run this build any more for some reason. I managed to run it once, and was able to test out anaglyph mode locally using /map. On joining a server, the process died at the team selection window. I tried to relaunch it but I got this:
talha@joker-main:~/Desktop/UrbanTerror$ ./ioq3-urt.x64
ioq3-urt Feb 5 2010 based on ioq3 1.36+SVN, under the GPL. gcc compiler
Client had been running for 0 days, 0 hours, 20 minutes and 45s
Couldn't get a visual
...WARNING: could not set the given mode (8)
Couldn't get a visual
...WARNING: could not set the given mode (8)
Setting r_mode 8 failed, falling back on r_mode 3
Couldn't get a visual
...WARNING: could not set the given mode (3)
----- CL_Shutdown -----
-----------------------
GLimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Any help would be strongly appreciated.

Update: After deleting my ~/.q3a/q3ut4/q3config.cfg I no longer got the error and was able to start the client. I played a few matches and it worked just fine. I rebooted my computer and tried to start it again and it didn't work:

talha@joker-main:~/Apps/UrbanTerror$ ./ioq3-urt.x64
ioq3-urt Feb 5 2010 based on ioq3 1.36+SVN, under the GPL. gcc compiler
Client had been running for 0 days, 4 hours, 25 minutes and 33s

Any ideas?

You may had hit a bug with ioq3; potentially a renderer cvar (r_). One could try removing vars one by one to find the culprit but potentially time consuming.

edit: if not 'one by one', 'in groups and limiting it as you go' might be a faster approach.

edit: hm, start by removing r_mode - though probably not

Mitsubishi I actually love ya man!

Just tested out this and its solved all my gripes with the game being slow, laggy etc.

Thanks for supporting Linux just as equally as Windows!

I found it. :D
The problem was with r_stereoEnabled. I must've set it when experimenting with the new ioq3 features. Needless to say, my graphics card was incompatible, explaining the error.
Thanks for the advice. :)

In case one needs ikalizer, it is reported to work with wine (with a windows version of the engine).
