Why bother working on Urban Terror at all? 4.1 is perfect so let's go do something else instead. 4.2 fixes bugs in 4.1, introduces new weapons and new game modes, more player skins but it's terrible so chances are you will really hate HD so why should we waste anymore time on this game for people who want it to stay exactly the same as it was in 2007? It's not like we get paid to do this.

Point #2: 4.2 servers outweigh 4.1 servers, and most of those are even up to date with .014. YAY More!

I dislike 4.2 but I probably wouldn't have said it in such a way as that...

On the other side, you can't really compare outdated 4.2 servers against 4.1. That just means people aren't paying attention and don't care enough to stay up-to-date; therefore, they're irrelevant. On top of that, only in my opinion, you should remove all private servers from the equation - even though if you took out-of-date servers from 4.2, 4.1 beats out the amount of servers still. Of course there's going to be more 4.2 private servers because leagues use 4.2 but private servers are only going to really be in use for pcws and cws. Now let's compare pubs.

4.1: 284 (~468 pub players / ~468 overall)
4.2.014: 203 (~224 pub players / ~252 overall)

I'd say that's a pretty big discrepancy.

My biggest qualm with 4.2 is the animations. I find them distracting and just freaking silly. On top of that though, I really dislike the argument that all the 4.1 bugs were fixed with 4.2. Some of them might have been fixed but then it introduced a whole slew of other bugs. We can't even review previous version demos unless we go through a big headache. I will say it has come a LONG way from .001 but if I'm not in a match or just warming up my aim on a 4.2 pub, I'm back on 4.1.

totally agree with this, i just enjoy the 4.1 animations a lot more. The new weapons and features are cool, but don't outweigh the difference in animations and modeling.
