This looks awesome by the way! Hope the wall running will be added, as well as the vaulting. Would it be possible for a ledge grab, in which you start a climb then stop and you may only use your pistol (with something like 40% less accuracy) or/and your grenade (with something 0.5 sec longer arm)? I like the idea with the minimum speed for the vault, it would work better. Also, will there be any kind of takedown thing? With goomba as an option, or some sort of sneak-kill with the knife? I think a way to do things silently/more quickly would be a good option. But that is just my sucky opinion!
BTW I am not exactly new, (started Urban Terror whenever it came out in http://live.linux-gamers.net/?s=home basically), But I do not use the forums a whole lot. Just tell me if any of this is in the wrong place...

I don't think elaborate animated takedowns would fit the game very well due to the fast paced and dynamic nature. I would like to promote melee attacks though, I figure if you manage to get close enough to a target, you deserve a chance to take them out quickly. RTCW/ET have this system where melee attacks from behind are deadly, I think that's worth a consideration. It's hard to stab somebody in the back without them being stationary and completely unaware.

I don't want to sound like dave hester but yuuuuuuuuuuuup.
A melee like in CoD would be nice if it has less damage than the knife attack.
In contrast the knife can have a melee that is also less than the normal knife attack or perhapps could be used to block melee, this would mean all weapons need separate animations for melee and a primary and secondary attack button unless it can be switched using weapon mode.

so yeah, leave out the bunnyhopping idea, everything else seems to be coming along well. id love to be able to see how jumping feels at this point.

We where speculating about adding features not about fixing something but I understand what you mean with wallruning bhopping already being considered it's getting away from the classic urt experience every second and start to be like csgo.
But untill there is anything we can actually play and test it's hard to know if it will work or not.
Sometimes it's good for someone who is creating something to bounce ideas of back and forwards.
