Ok, the very latest version now uploaded (still has the same date on filename), should be clean in terms of multithreading of automatic translation. If one still gets instability with it on, I wouldn't discount anything but I'd suspect system issues.

Did you change anything else because it's giving a 10% improvement on fps over distributed version.

No that's just the general idea that it pwns.

:D

PS. On a logical note, dmaHD needs an important fix since apparently only on mixer 10 it works now correctly (among other things). that's dealt with.

PyroBor did you use the version uploaded a couple of hours ago?

No. Not yet. I tried ioq3-1803-urt-041210-linux64.bz2. Now I see there is ioq3-1803-urt-051210-linux64.bz2. Will try that one later today.

1) Picola, does it happen with auto translation off?
2) Also, what is the output language of translation?
3) What is your distribution?
4) Does it crash at a specific point? Any information around the crash might help.

Here are my answers, despite questions are probably meant for Picola.
1) For me it doesn't hang/crash with auto translation off.
2) default english
3) Source Mage (http://www.sourcemage.org/)
4) Nope.

I will test the latest version later today. Until then have fun :)

Was on spec for two hours today and it seems to be ok.

1. Have only tried it with translation on.
2. English, to be honest I didnt know you could change it.
3. -
4. Mostly it was happening when I was trying to admin the server

OK. I downloaded the newest version (half-hour ago). And seems to be even worse. Without auto translation it works without a problem. Then I did "/translateAuto 1" and after 10-20 seconds it froze. Kill it. Tried it again (now auto translation was on at the start of the game) and it hang again in 1 minute or so. Third time the same. Forth time I disabled auto translation and I could play the whole map to the end (~10 min)...

Any system library that I might me missing ?

http://www.pyrobor.s...rt/q3config.cfg <- here is my config if that is any help...

It's still crashing and locking up the computer. Did ctrl,alt,f2 killed it and tried to get back onto desktop but had to reboot.

Just before it happened I was on spec and had just used the console.

Cant give you any more information as to why as I have to completely shut down the computer and cant get onto the console to see what that says. I don't particularly want to turn the translation off (though I will to see if it makes any difference) as it's the whole reason im using this version.

Doesn't happen on Johnnys though.

The version that was up for the last 4-5 hours was shutting down on vid_restart (automatic or explicit). Reuploaded.

I'm looking now at your issues. Yes, q3configs may be great help.

--

Nothing. with your config on windows. I'm going to boot on linux. [Nothing on virtualbox either]

Is there a chance you could run it through a debugger? gdb ./ioq3-urt-debug and if it crashes after you spam autotranslation in a map, 'bt' to show the backtrace. http://www.www0.org/...3-urt-debug.bz2 (this is the 64bit version) (32bit: http://www.www0.org/...urt-debug32.bz2)

It could help if you could upload me somewhere your libcurl and pthreads library files but I may be asking too much. [I got source mage's]

[I suspect system issues with pthreads or libcurl]
--

I wonder if you had issues with a specific server due to the nature of the server messages it spams or similar.

--

Picola, what is your distribution (and 64/32)?
