We're all forgetting the most important question - will Snoppis be in HD?

I think BladeKiller has mentioned this a few times over the last few years, no third party maps will be included in the official game. We want the company FrozenSand to own all copyrights on all assets of Urban Terror, which is not the case currently. That's why we can't update some maps, simply because we don't have the permission of the original author.
What if your given full ownership/copyright/credit thingie >0< for the map?

Well in general we are open to all offers of fair use contributions and willing to discus terms and conditions on an individual bases but since such conditions will be based on one-on-one requirements there is no real way to answer such a question in a general in-a-open-forum way.
However.
If the need is for a piece of hero pie then the better option above and beyond making a completed map, with no guarantee that it will ever make it into a severs map rotation to begin with, is to make fit to finish map objects and complete texture packs.

That's the main question.
That's the main question.
As mentioned more than once is the ideal would be to remove the old engine and replace it with something new. (just restating a fact ;) )
The need for an engine replacement, more than anything, at this point in time is to avoided obsolescence by design and if left as is 4.2 would be the last version and update to the game and interest would die over time as to secondary consideration.
Good example is a “simple†engine switch, even if our objective is to first establish a on-par replacement to 4.2, would put Steam on the table where it's not even something to consider under current conditions.

In 3ds Max there are many different types of snaps.
The most common if you look to the middle of the tool bar.
Snaps toggle turns on and off snaps. Right clicking will allow you to turn on and off the types of snaps as a combination by check box. To match GTK you will want Grid Points and Vertex.
Home Grid will allow you to change the grid spacing.
If you like Radiant, it does have some nice tools, you can still use it to lay out you map and then export as an obj. For that matter if the .map file is still available it's not that difficult to convert something already built for UrT into something that will work in HD. Casa for example only took a few days to make a working base from the .map file.

Well the plan for HD all along was to move total map design out of GTK and into a more productive edit environment. With Radiant one is limited to making only maps that work with the idtech3 based engine and by putting the bulk of the work as to tool availability in to an application like 3ds Max, Maya, or even Blender there is probably not a single modern game engine you could not retask your map to work with.
