Welcome to the *ALL NEW* Official Urban Terror Website!
Dear Urban Terror Community, your attention please!
In preparation for the launch of Urban Terror 4.2, we are proud to present the new home of Urban Terror! As you can see, we have had a complete overhaul. So without further ado let us get down to business.
Urban Terror Passport / Single sign-on
From now on, you will have one and the same account for our website and forum. This account is called 'Passport'. In the future, your Passport will also be used for the yet to be released in-game Authentication system.
Existing users:
Your old forum account has been disabled. But do not panic. You can register a UrT Passport with the same nickname here. Afterward, follow the "merge your account" instructions, to get back all your forum posts from the old account.
New Users:
Register your Passport here. This is not yet required to play the game, but it makes sure nobody else claims your nickname and allows you to post on the forums.
You can also register groups, please visit the new areas of the website and you will see all the new website has to offer! Full docs are available if you get stuck.

Heavy Web Overhaul in the books
You may have noticed that the forum has been in BETA for a while now. Well, in a bit we'll discover it's finished!! Then the inevitable will happen and we'll decide to hit the launch button.
To cut to the chase, it means that at some point in the coming weeks this site will go into Transformer-mode as can be seen in the preview below:
Don't worry, you will notice when it happens as you will be asked to re-register when the overhaul has been completed.
Please make sure to register with the same e-mail address, it makes merging of your 'current' and 'new' account easier.
NB: If you are currently using a hotmail e-mail address, we have to recommend that you change it to something else, like gmail because Hotmail blocks a lot of our registration e-mails.

Adultery caught on tape!
A peek at the progress of making new player model animations for Urban Terror on UrbanTerrorOfficial. This time with a guest appearance from Laura, Sarah's sister, who happens to have an amazing resemblance to someone we all know and love ;)
Laura will not be available as part of the 4.2 release. She is standing in as a test bench to work on to apply some of the ideas and improvements to the animation system with out messing up the current work being done on the player models that will be included.
As you can see the key poses will be based on which weapon is held. With the aim to give the other players a clearer indication as to what weapon the player is using, as well as a closer tie into the 1st person perspective as to their current action.
This is not the complete animation, but the second pass to tie in the sequences based on a single key pose. The final and third pass will be to frame match as much of the animation as possible so it all flows through the animation smoothly.

Divisions set for Urban Zone Leagues
Urban Zone is ready to start it's 8th CTF League season and now for the first time a Team Survivor League, and the sign-ups have closed.
In total 83 clans will be competing in the CTF League this season! Of which 77 divided over 11 divisions and there will also be a special Asian Pacific division. To accommodate the many new and promising teams, Divisions 9 to 11 will be "jumper" divisions.
The Urban Zone TS League, Season 1 has almost as many sign-ups and will most likely be as competitive!

H0i joins the dev team
Please welcome H0i our newest and youngest member to the Urban Terror development team!
H0i has been impressing us with the Glock and when we asked him to join the team he accepted.
H0i is a very talented 3D modeller with two years of experience with software such as Wings 3D, 3Ds max and Photoshop.
Besides fine tuning the Glock he will be busy modeling many more weapons for Urban Terror in the time to come.

Two new content artists join the development team
As we begin to wind down on the current development cycle for Urban Terror 4.2 we have already begun plans as to the next version and starting to do the necessary research as well bring in new and fresh talent to make a great game even better.
Without further ado:
FrozenSand is pleased to announce that we have added two top-notch content creators to the development team.
Mr. Bean will be making weapons and various models for level developers as needed for the planned improvements for the next release.
Also please welcome posthuman who will be in charge of player model development and will be adding the much needed additions to the current player model roster.
As many of you know a member in good standing on our message board, Hoi, has put a great deal of work into his Glock sidearm with the hope that it maybe included in the up coming release of Urban Terror 4.2.
At this time we are happy to confirm that a decision has been made to include the weapon as part of the starting line up and part of the current selection of sidearm already available in the game.
Hoi is finishing up the texture work (click the image to enlarge it).
