We are very happy to announce yet another addition to the Frozen Sand development team; monsieur Barbatos !

Barbatos has been playing Urban Terror for many years. He is a web developer and admin of the Urban Terror France website.

For Urban Terror HD, Barbatos will be helping our coders with development of the game code. Specifically he will first focus on Urban Terror Match mode.

The Urban Zone League is ready for signups for the 12th season Capture the Flag and the 5th season Team Survivor.

Divisions will be created in the week following 24 April, after which you can start scheduling your matches.

Frozen Sand is happy to announce that both 659 and 817 have agreed to join the team !



Frozen Sand is always on the look out for talented coders and level designers with the right attitude towards the game and we feel that with Holblin and Asche we got lucky again.

Asche (mapper) and Holblin (coder) have been strong supporters of Urban Terror for years. Among other things they have together developed their own game type, Assault Mode, to be played with Urban Terror.

National ESL is pleased to announce their first ever Urban Terror Atlantic Cup. This is a Team Survivor event with a default match time on Sunday 5:00pm EDT/11:00pm CET and is designed to bring together many teams from South America, North America, and Europe.

ESL will provide match servers in New York and Atlanta for teams that require a server. Servers are limited and will be first come, first serve.

ESL is also looking forward to providing many more competitions in the future, including comprehensive online seasons and even the possibility of gametype ladders. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to comment on ESL's news post or visit #ESL.urt

Due to popular request by the community to see Sarah's new clothes Frankie V took her out to the dance floor.

Her outfit isn't finished yet but this was a good opportunity to test her rig with a dance animation and show off her latest clothes.

The folks at Urban Zone are in the process of relaunching their radio station. As part of this relaunching they are planning an Urban Zone Radio Day which will feature music, shoutcasts, themed hours, and interviews.



For these interviews, they need your help! The interviews will be done with development team members of FrozenSand. Feel free to submit your questions about Urban Terror to 7of9@urban-zone.org and remember the only stupid question is the one that hasn't been asked.

It is a great pleasure to announce that FrozenSand has added a new mapper to the development team, please all welcome 1931 !

In the passed two years Clatoo created five maps for Urban Terror; CrystalPower, Heroic, Maximus, Metropolis, and Paris.

You can find them via our map depots list

Professionally Clatoo is a experienced publisher, and he works with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Xpress, Indesign, Flash, Director, etc.

When he added MacRadiant 1.4, a few years ago, he had very little experience with 3D software and had just discovered the Urban Terror game. Which is lucky for us !

At first, Clatoo will try to add special effects to the Urban Terror HD version of the maps Paris & Heroic, before starting new maps optimised for the engine.

The Urban Zone League is once again opening their gates for serious and maybe a little less serious gaming with the 11th season of CTF League and 4th season TS League.

UZL is open to sign-ups from all across the community with either individual divisions for non-European teams or with integrated divisions when possible.
